After studying Cosmetology at Northern Michigan University Pharra began her career in 1999. For the following two years she trained under the tutelage of a Framesi Color Expert building the foundations of her trade. She has a great passion for learning mentoring, and sharing knowledge. After moving to Lansing in 2001 she had the opportunity to do all three upon becoming an AVEDA In Salon Cutting coach. During her twelve years with AVEDA she was fortunate enough to travel and participate in a wide variety of classes, including but not limited to makeup, editorial hair styling, photo shoots, color trends, and hair cutting trends. Because of her position as an In Salon Cutting Coach she would bring back her knowledge and teach it to the rest of her team. Working side by side with stylist new to the industry gave her the opportunity to give back and pass down knowledge to new stylist. Pharra has a great love for all the skills she performs on a daily basis. Including waxing, makeup applications, women's and men's haircuts, coloring, and styling. She specializes in short haircuts, men's cuts, formal styles, and she is also certified to do Brazilian Blowouts.
