The original Location
The HeadRoom Salon was established in 2001, when the revitalization of Old Town was still in its early stages. The borders were a block and a half long, and we were off the beaten path. We started out at 106 East César E. Chávez Ave. with two stylists, no receptionist, and very few neighbors. While Old Town was growing, so was the salon. We had room for six stylists, and eventually met that number. It was great, since our clients were now thanking us for creating a reason to come to Old Town and visit the shops in the area. Soon we weren't off the beaten path anymore, and neighbors were popping up all around us. It was so great to be a part of this growing community—they welcomed us with open arms, and many of them are still loyal clients.
In 2013, we moved around the corner to 1122 North Washington, doubling our square footage and staff, and we have never looked back. Now we are off the beaten path again and have been given the opportunity to help expand the borders of Old Town. We love our space, from the high tin ceilings to the 17-foot-tall brick walls; the colors are very tranquil, creating a perfect background for our talented staff. With an enthusiastic team that prides themselves on great customer service and even greater hair, we cannot be outdone.
